In this three-minute workshop clip, I share some of the humorous if disappointing responses to the original title of the book behind this course, Spirituality for Dummies, whose two editions were available for around seventeen years before I received the rights back to republish the content as Spirituality for Everyone. I personally loved the "for dummies" title because it fit into the understanding of spiritual guidance to be humble, to have a good sense of humor, to "know that we do not know," and to appreciate that whatever we do know is but a small part of the grand dance of Spirituality.

I welcome you to this course with a song that blends the spirituality of East and West, beginning with "Amazing Grace" and moving into several Sanskrit mantras sung to the same tune. It is a reminder that even though much of the content in this course comes from ancient Indian philosophies due to my years of learning, practicing, serving, and studying in an India-based Ashram, nevertheless, the spiritual truths behind these teachings reflect, perhaps in different words, throughout and beyond specific paths and religions.
