Walking to the ocean was one of my favorite spiritual practices, as I'd repeat a mantra, sing an internal song, breathe deeply, appreciate nature's beauty, contemplate the day, smile at passersby, move rhythmically, and receive health benefits, all together. In this video, you'll see students of an especially beautiful and expressive form of dance from Orissa, India. This style of dance is an excellent representation of the combination of movement with ancient scriptures, methods, and legends, and a lovely celebration of the Divine Mother in each dancer, from young girls to young adults. The musical tapestry is also special and brings the kind of healing powers that come from music that is in harmony with the ancient vedas.
