This three-and-a-half minute video shares my recitation of the beginning of an Vedic text, Shri Rudram, that was composed around 1000 BC. Shri Rudram offers salutations to the Divine in everything that exists in this world, good and bad, and then requests a long list of blessings in an affirmation style that affirms these blessings to have already been bestowed. My experience of the practice of chanting such Sanskrit texts is of a special flow that comes together when a modern aspirant connects with these ancient mantras. This recitation was part of a sacred music concert at the Sun Valley Opera House, and the flow continued when some Brahman Priests from India discovered this western woman chanting their ancient text and shared the video with a positive response tens of thousands of times on YouTube, Facebook, and in other communications.

As a good lesson of how letting your practices flow may first require some challenging tests where those practices may feel full of obstacles, here is a four-and-a-half minute sharing of how I first tried to chant Shri Rudram with little success, until with persistence and Grace, the practice turned into a beautiful flow.
