The legendary 8th century sage Shankaracharya was walking with his disciples when they came upon an old man who was barely able to stand, with a cane. The man was fervently studying the intracasies of Sanskrit grammer, due to a prevalant belief at this place and time that such efforts would lead one's soul to liberation. Right there, on the spot, Shankaracharya and his disciples composed these brilliant, blunt, and perhaps challenging verses to remind the man and each of us that this gift of life, youth, and health is not going to last forever, and that the way to transcend this world of suffering is to, "Bhaja Govindam," focus on the Divine. "Through the company of the good, there arises non-attachment; through non-attachment, there arises freedom from delusion; through delusionlessness, there arises steadfastness; through steadfastness, there arises liberation in life."

This seven-minute news story delves into reports of disembodied spirits -- also known as ghosts -- who are reported to reside on the Queen Mary boat.
